Dine Diego

We all know that 2020 has been somewhat unexpected. From opening to closing, to reopening, to closing again—many businesses have felt the pressure of whether or not they can continue operating, or if they will have to shut their doors permanently. That is where YOU come in. Right now, local eateries, pubs, restaurants, gyms and more need OUR support and help. They have shifted, adapted, pivoted, and changed their entire business plans as a result of the pandemic, so we need to continue to do the same for their sake. We need to order online, sit outside, pick-up or do delivery to help keep the San Diego Restaurant world alive.

San Diego Restaurant Week historically, has been a week long experience where you can try new places and indulge in delicious fare for a great price! This year, things are slightly different. From September 15 – October 15 Restaurant Week presents Dine Diego: a month of showcasing top eateries around San Diego.

I myself, was lucky enough to partner up with San Diego Restaurant Week to try out The Great Maple in Hillcrest.

First off, I felt so safe. We were welcomed by a greeter where plexiglass was installed in-between us and hand sanitizer was present. He led us outside to our table, where all the seating was properly spaced to ensure physical distancing.

Then we got the menus...and my GOODNESS the beverages all sounded so amazing. We each tried a few different cocktails, but my favorite had to be the GM Honeymule. To kick on the appetizers we ordered calamari, deviled eggs, and pesto hummus. For the mains, my fiancé ordered the Steak Frittes and I got the Turkey Bolognese served over zoodles and the sauce was like a dream.

All in all, I was extremely impressed by the level of professionalism and safety that The Great Maple went to so that we could have an enjoyable dining experience. So, while there is still a few weeks left of Dine Diego—you have to go support your local restaurants!! Visit https://www.sandiegorestaurantweek.com/ for a full list of local eateries that are participating this year.

They are also doing Dine Diego Bingo! All you have to do is capture a photo or video of yourself and post to social media to score a place on the Dine Diego Bingo Board. If you get five items in a row, you are entered to win one of five amazing prizes! Their website lists all the steps and information, so be sure to check it out once you're done reading this post!

RememberBy supporting local restaurants, you are giving back to employees, farmers, suppliers and so many more! Now, get out there and have some fun at our local San Diego Restaurants!!!

XOXO,

Kara
